Enterprise Channels

A control user can publish a resource to be a channel. An enterprise channel can be used a a common folder or public folder. All the enterprise channels are listed under /Shared/Common This can be used to create a Company calendar, Global Address List, Global read only documents (publications). The users will have default access to them without being part of a group. Common folders will have a public label listed instead of the owner user or group.

Site Administration

Adding and editing domain

Separate editing of styles and logo information from site specific control information. Controls are editable by site admin. Styles and logos are editable by end-customer.

Allow site admin to manage and perform all domain admin fuynctions

Domain administrators could only do this earlier. Now, site administrators have access to all domain admin functions.

Centralized site control parameters

Various site control parameters that are assignment of servers, mail directories are centralized and can be edited by site admin. Earlier, they were hard-coded or part of site properties per web server. This supports multiple web servers easily and changes can be done in one place.

Hierarchical site admin framework

Create a separate service provider and domain to manage EcoSuite site. Create a new user, superadmin, by default to be the site administrator. Other users in this domain can be allowed to do site administration when provided with site administrator role.

Permanently delete domains

Delete domains and all their associated users, groups, roles, etc. completely from the system. Once deleted no data could be recovered.

Mail Server Administration

CatchAll account

Domain admin can determine what action to take for incoming emails for non-existing accounts, such as bounce, delete or forwarding to another account.

Domain aliases

Domain admin can create multiple aliases for the domain.

Domain auto response

Domain admin can create accounts (Mail Robots) that can send automatic response back to the sender.

Mail Server Agent (ecomsa)

Create an agent to manage domain and user level interactions with MTA using Web Services framework synchronously. Implement it using secure web service (HTTPS) including HTTP basic authentication, IP filter and permissions. All changes are now synchronous and instantaneous.

User aliases

Users can create their aliases (address guards) for their mail accounts.

User auto forward

Users can forward their emails to another account.

User vacation response

Users can create and setup vacation responses.

Domain Administration

Bulk Provisioning (Importing Users)

Add users by importing a proper CSV file directly from a PC. Earlier, the file had to be uploaded first to the system folder. Allow downloading a sample file from the dialog.

Close User Accounts

Close user accounts without removing their folders and data. Closed accounts can be activated without losing any user data.

Domain Options

In addition to user level options, this provides framework for domain level options.

Permanently delete users

Delete users and their folders and data completely from the system. Only allow deleting accounts that are closed. No data can be recovered after the accounts are deleted. Deleting an user deletes its account also in the mail server.
